360051 Evangelikalismus und Fundamentalismus (S) (SoSe 2021)

Die Wahl des amerikanischen Präsidenten im Jahr 2020 hat den Einfluss fundamentalistischer Kreise in den USA gezeigt. Auch in der Bundesrepublik erstarkt die sog. religiöse Rechte. Das Seminar fragt nach der Entstehung von Fundamentalismus, der erst um 1900 aufgekommen ist, und des Evangelikalismus, der sich in den 1960er Jahren etabliert hat. Besonders in pfingstlich-charismatischen Kreisen und Bewegungen lässt sich eine stark konservative Einstellung zu den Lehren des Christentums finden. Die persönliche, direkte Begegnung mit Gott bzw. Jesus steht hier im Vordergrund. Neben diesen grundsätzlichen Fragen treffen Religionslehrende im Unterricht auf Schüler*innen und Eltern, die diese Einstellung teilen.
