Videospiele stellen einen großen Teil jugendlicher Freizeitgestaltung dar. Doch viele Spiele sind für Kinder und Jugendliche nur bedingt oder gar nicht geeignet. Den Erziehungsberechtigten fehlen häufig jedoch die Mittel und Kenntnisse, um altersgerechte von bedenklichen Inhalten zu unterscheiden. Im Rahmen des Seminars soll ein Format entwickelt werden, welches es Eltern, Lehrer/innen und anderen Bezugspersonen ermöglicht, sich schnell und aufwandsarm über aktuelle Spiele und Trends zu informieren, um sie so bei der medienkompetenten Erziehung und Sozialisation zu unterstützen. Ausgangspunkt hierfür sind die bei Spieler/innen beliebten Let´s Plays; Internetvideos, die Spiele vorstellen und kommentieren. Die Studierenden sollen in Kleingruppen ähnliche Videos konzipieren und erstellen, die neben Informationen zum jeweiligen Spiel auch mediendidaktische Tipps und Empfehlungen enthalten.
