Um das Jahr 1300 kommt es in Italien zu einem großen Umbruch in der Kunst. Mit Giotto entdeckt sie das Maß des Menschlichen und gestaltet auch ihre Werke entsprechend. Das hat Folgen für die Religion, auch hier tritt nun das Subjekt in den Fokus. Kunst und Religion artikulieren sich als Weltdeutungen. Das gilt bis in die Gegenwart. Auf der Biennale in Venedig dokumentieren Künstler:innen aus der ganzen Welt mit ihren Kunstwerken den aktuellen Stand ihrer Welterkundung. Wir wollen uns davon zu eigenen (theologischen) Erkenntnissen herausfordern lassen.
Dieses Seminar findet im Rahmen eine universitätsübergreifenden Summer School Reihe statt und wird in Kooperation mit und unter Beteiligung der Universitäten Hamburg, Heidelberg und Paderborn statt
Im Rahmen des Seminars unternehmen wir eine Studienreise nach Padua und Venedig vom 19.-24.05.2024. Die Kosten für die Reise sind von den Teilnehmenden selbst zu tragen. Erfahrungsgemäß werden sich die Kosten um 400 Euro (inkl. Anreise) bewegen. Förderung durch die Universität wird beantragt werden. Die Anreise ist selbst zu organisieren. Eine verbindliche Anmeldung zum Seminar und zur Studienreise ist notwendig.
