Die Veranstaltung wird in historische Entwicklungen des Strafrechts einführen. Gegenstand sind aber auch methodische Fragen zur Geschichte an sich und wie man Geschichte denken kann.
Anhand zahlreicher exemplarischer Beispiele werden wesentliche Kontinuitätslinien nachgezeichnet.

Aktive Mitarbeit; Übernahme von Kurzrefereaten möglich.
Allgemeines historisches Interesse wird vorausgesetzt. Es muss zwingend die Bereitschaft bestehen, neben der Vorlesung Leseaufgaben nachzukommen.

Am Ende des Semesters wird eine Klausur geschrieben, mit der der Kleine Grundlagenschein erworben werden kann. Wer die Klausur mitschreiben möchte muss sich in dieser Veranstaltung im eKVV eingeschrieben haben; eine Meldung zur gesondert im eKVV ausgewiesenen Abschlußklausur reicht nicht aus. Ebenso wird die Teilnahme am LernraumPlus, der diese Vorlesung begleitet, vorausgesetzt.
Nebenfachstudierende haben sich zwischen dem 18. April 2017 und 16. Mai 2017 am Lehrstuhl (Sekretariat U 8 - 239) für die Klausur anzumelden und zwar unter Angabe, welche Leistung sie mit der Klausur erlangen möchten.
