In Deutschland spielt das Gedenken an die Opfer der Kriege und das aus ihnen entstandene Leid eine große Rolle in der Erinnerungskultur. Denk- und Mahnmäler im öffentlichen Raum legen davon Zeugnis ab. Das Seminar möchte aber den Blick auf die kirchliche Erinnerungskultur lenken. Fast in jeder Kirche hängt eine Tafel mit den Namen der Gefallenen aus den Weltkriegen. Das Seminar möchte erkunden, ob und in welcher Weise die Zeugnisse des Kriegsgedenkens als Objekt für den Religionsunterricht taugen.
