Niemandem wird im Jahr 2017 entgangen sein, dass die Reformation ein einschneidendes Erlebnis in der deutschen Geschichte darstellt. In der Vorlesung soll der Frage nachgegangen werden, welche Wirkungen die Reformation und der sich formierende Protestantismus unterschiedlicher Ausprägungen in der weiteren Geschichte Deutschlands und Europa hat. Dabei sollen Politik, Bildung und Kultur in den den Blick genommen werden.
