Über die Bedeutung der drei Romane Kafkas ist hier nichts zu sagen. Auf der ganzen Welt kennt man sie. Ich werde in der Vorlesung alle drei Romane vorstellen, die Forschungslage umreißen, einige ausgewählte Passagen möglichst genau interpretieren. Berührungen wird es mit dem Seminar zu Augustinus und der Geschichte der Autobiographie geben.

Es hat keinen Sinn, bloß sporadisch aufzutauchen und dann auch noch die Teilnahme bescheinigt bekommen zu wollen. So betrügt man sich nur selbst. Martin Walser hat einmal gesagt, Kafkas 'Prozeß' könne durchaus als Roman einer Gewissenserforschung verstanden werden. Von dieser These darf man sich inspirieren lassen.
