300224 "Lifelogging" - Zur Praxis digitaler Selbstvermessung (S) (SoSe 2017)

Unter Begriffen wie „Quantify Yourself“ oder „Lifelogging“ hat der Trend zur digitalen Erfassung und Auswertung körperbezogener Daten für Aufmerksamkeit gesorgt. Vor allem in Fragen der gesunden Lebensführung erfreuen sich die neuen Möglichkeiten zur Selbstvermessung großer Beliebtheit. Sportler protokollieren ihre Laufstecken und Trainingseinheiten, Ab- und Zunehmwillige ihre Mahlzeiten und Kalorienzufuhr, chronisch Überarbeitete Angestellte ihr Arbeitspensum und Aufschiebeverhalten — für viele gesundheitsrelevante Aktivitäten im privaten wie beruflichen Alltag stehen Anwendungen und mobile Applikationen für Smartphones und Tablets zur Verfügung. Im Seminar wird diese Bereitschaft zur Selbstverdatung zum Thema gemacht. Dazu sollen Texte gelesen und diskutiert werden, in denen zu diesen Entwicklungen theoretische Erklärungsangebote entwickelt werden und empirische Untersuchungen vorgestellt werden.
