Theodor W. Adorno ist der bedeutendste Philosoph der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, deren geistiges Klima er mit seiner "Kritischen Theorie" nachhaltig beeinflusst hat. Auch der Soziologie, der Musik- und der Literaturwissenschaft hat er wichtige Impulse vermittelt. In der Vorlesung werden in erster Linie folgende Texte behandelt:
- Minima Moralia
- Dialektik der Aufklärung
- Noten zur Literatur
- Ästhetische Theorie
- Versch. Aufsätze zu Kulturkritik
