In der Vorlesung erfolgt eine Einführung in die Rechtssoziologie und die Rechtspsychologie. Dabei werden vornehmlich Themen aus den Bereichen des Strafrechts und der kriminalwissenschaftlichen Forschung behandelt. Es werden aber auch erste berufspraktische Bezüge hergestellt.
Die Vorlesung wendet sich insbesondere an Jura-Studierende aus den Anfangssemestern. Insofern wird eine Semesterabschlussklausur zum Erwerb eines kleinen Grundlagenscheins angeboten.
Die Vorlesung ist aber auch für Studierende aus den Schwerpunktebereichen 8 und 9 geeignet. Diese Studierenden müssen nicht an der Klausur teilnehmen
Die Vorlesung ist darüber hinaus auch für Studierende der BA-Studiengänge „Rechtswissenschaft/Nebenfach“ sowie „Recht und Management“ geöffnet.
