In der Vorlesung wird Hegels Ästhetik im Kontext der Entwicklung der Poetik und der Literatur im 18. und frühen 19. Jahrhundert kommentiert und in einzelnen Thesen zur Diskussion gestellt. Behandelt wird die Einleitung und der erste Teil:"Die Idee des Kunstschönen oder das Ideal"sowie der dritte Teil: "Die Poesie".
