220051 A Global Middle Ages – Geteilte Welten (Ü+V) (SoSe 2026)

Contents, comment

Alte und neue Zugänge zur Weltgeschichte, Traditionslinien mittelalterlicher Grundlagen eines Sonderwegs Europas und Perspektiven von Globalgeschichte sollen erarbeitet werden. Sowohl chronologische als auch skalare Konzepte erzählen vom Raum dieser Gesellschaften; indem Geschichte geschrieben wird, werden räumliche Bilder geprägt: isolierte kleine Welten und Teilmengen der Welt vor einer außereuropäischen Verflechtungsgeschichte in der Frühen Neuzeit.
