Nicht zuletzt mit den strittigen Protest-Formen der Extinction-rebellion-Bewegung werden Fragen der Sozialakzeptanz, der politischen Verträglichkeit von Protestbewegungen und ihren Grenzen heftig diskutiert. Der Widerstand gegen den Staat (ziviler Ungehorsam), gewalttätig oder nicht, hat eine lange Tradition in der politischen Philosophie. In diesem Seminar wollen wir uns dem Thema sowohl historisch als auch systematisch widmen, wobei wir uns auf klassischen Positionen beziehen werden, die eine aktuelle Relevanz haben. Wir werden einen besonderen Schwerpunkt auf extinction rebellion, seine Ausdrucksformen und die politischen Reaktionen, die sie hervorrufen, legen.
