250376 Summer School „Open(ing) education: meanings, practices and current transformations" (BS) (SoSe 2021)

Contents, comment

Das Seminar findet digital, live zur genannten Zeit & z.T. digital, im Selbststudium (online synchron/asynchron) statt.

How could we define ‘open education’? COVID-19 crisis has profoundly redefined the teaching and learning activities. Many countries around the Globe had to close their schools and other educational and care settings. They opted for distance education, while teachers, other professionals and families tested and used several remote learning tools and pedagogical methods. This summer school will allow the students to discover complementary areas where openness and innovation in education can be found at work. It will therefore approach themes such as:
• ‘diversity’ (or opening education to vulnerable learners)
• ‘school closure’ (or re-opening education to other spaces)
• ‘teaching and learning in a digital age’ (or the use of the free Open Education Resources – OER for course design)
The summer school is a compact course that deals with the above-mentioned topic of open(ing) education. Lectures on specific topics in the field, and self-organised group and individual work will be available during the week. International guest lecturers will be invited for theoretical and pedagogical inputs within the field of educational sciences.

The summer school will take place online. It will include both synchronous and asynchronous learning activities. Additional information will be sent to the participants by email.
