--- ACHTUNG: Die Veranstaltung beginnt wegen der Sommerschule eine Woche später. ---

Häufig hört man die Klage, es fehle an literaturgeschichtlichen Überblicksveranstaltungen. Diese Vorlesung wird eine werden und dies am Beispiel einer besonders zugänglichen, sich breit auffächernden Gattung. Die Vorlesung wird von der frühen Neuzeit bis in die Gegenwart führen.

Requirements for participation, required level

Neugierde auf Lyrik und eine gewisse poetische Sensibilität. Interesse an einem exemplarischen literaturgeschichtlichen Überblick.

Es gibt viele Anthologien, diese hier kann man empfehlen:

Europäische Balladen (Reclams Universalbibliothek 8508), Stuttgart 1979

Außerdem: Gedichte und Interpretationen. Deutsche Balladen. Hg. von Gunter E. Grimm (Reclams Universal-Bibliothek, Band 8457), Stuttgart 1988 (u.ö.).

In der UB wird wieder ein Semesterapparat eingerichtet. Ich erwarte, dass er auch benutzt wird!
