Die zweiteilige Veranstaltung zeichnet Kernlinien der sog. Wissenschaftlichen Revolution nach, also der Erfindung der neuzeitlichen Wissenschaft zwischen Copernicus und Newton. Der erste Teil zielt auf den Umbruch in der Astronomie und rückt Copernicus und Galilei ins Zentrum. Der zweite Teil im WiSe 24/25 soll sich stärker auf die Neue Physik konzentrieren.
Die Veranstaltung besteht aus Vorlesungsteilen mit eingeschobener gemeinsamer Textlektüre.
