Die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen politischer Entscheidungsfindung und öffentlicher Willensbildung werden in lateineuropäischen Fürstenspiegeln und Ständelehren zwischen dem 8. und 16. Jahrhundert ausgemessen. Hier sollen quellengestützte Zugänge in verschiedene ausgewählte Diskursfelder des vormodernen Regierungshandelns und zugrundeliegender Herrschaftskonzepte geboten werden.
