Contents, comment

This seminar explores the intersection of city and violence in the Americas. We will look at manifestations of urban violence and narrations of urban complexity from an interdisciplinary perspective. Accordingly, we will read and interpret texts from the fields of literature, film studies, history as well as sociology to come to terms with various complex entanglements between urban spaces, urban politics and city violence.
