Morphologie, die Lehre von der Gestalt der Sprache, befasst sich mit den Bereichen des Sprachsystems, die man meint, wenn man vom "Bau" einer Sprache spricht. Wir werden uns zunächst die theoretischen und terminologischen Grundlagen der Morphologie erarbeiten, bevor wir die Morphologie der romanischen Sprachen betrachten.
Wir beschäftigen uns mit diachronen und synchronen Aspekte der romanischen Morphologie mit Ausflügen in die Natürlichkeits- und Grammatikalisierungstheorie, die Sprachtypologie, Varietäten- und Medienlinguistik.
Sprachlich wird der Fokus auf Französisch und Spanisch liegen, es werden aber auch andere romanische Sprachen wie zB die französisch basierten Kreolsprachen, sowie weitere, nicht indoeuropäische Nachbarsprachen romanischer Sprachen einbezogen.
