Wie soll sich Religion zur Politik verhalten? Passen Staat und Religion zusammen? Wie soll der Staat mit religiösen Minderheiten umgehen? Solche brandaktuellen Fragen wurden schon im antiken Judentum und Christentum diskutiert. In diesem Seminar wird das Verhältnis der Juden und Christen u.a. zum römischen Staat beleuchtet und diskutiert. Dabei soll auch der Bezug zu aktuellen Diskussionen nicht ausbleiben.
Voraussetzung für eine erfolgreiche Teilnahme am Blockseminar ist die Bereitschaft im Vorhinein wissenschaftliche Literatur und Quellen zu lesen und vor allem kurze Impulsreferate vorzubereiten.
Wer Interesse hat, aber nicht zur Vorbesprechung kommen kann, kann sich per Mail an mich wenden. Über eine eventuelle Verschiebung der eingetragenen Termine kann noch in der Vorbereitungssitzung gesprochen werden.
