Wer wird von wem zu was befähigt? Wer braucht was von wem um sich selbst befähigen zu können? In diesem Seminar wird in den Capability Approach von Marta Nussbaum eingeführt. Hierbei soll ein Grundverständnis für den Ansatz Marta Nussbaums, den sie in der Auseinandersetzung und Zusammenarbeit mit dem Nobelpreisträger Amartya Sen konzipierte und der sich seit Jahren auch in der Pädagogik anhaltendem Interesse erfreuen kann. Marhta Nussbaum hat mit dem Befähigungsansatz einen überaus anschlussfähigen Beitrag nicht nur, aber auch für den (erziehungs-) wissenschaftlichen Diskurs gechaffen und einen kenntnisreichen und liberal ausgerichteten Beitrag zur Erläuterung der Frage nach der Vereinbarkeit von Gerechtigkeit, Freiheit und Gleichheit.
Die Vielschichtigkeit dieses Ansatzes darzustellen und erfahrbar zu machen und aufzuzeigen, wie und von wem dieser Ansatz zu welchen Projekten genutzt werden kann und wird, ist Ziel dieses Seminar.
