In diesem Modul werden verschiedene grundlegende Konzepte erarbeitet und
Methoden gelehrt, die bei der quantitiven Untersuchung
verhaltensökologischer Zusammenhänge eingesetzt werden. Mögliche
Schwerpunkte sind z.B. Kommunikation, Konkurrenz und
Reproduktionsstrategien. Hierzu wird Verhalten quantitativ erfasst, die
Analyse von akustischer Kommunikation, Nahrungssuch- und
Nahrungswahl-Verhalten, Engerieinhalt und Zusammensetzung von Nahrung geübt,
und es werden Experimente zum Fortpflanzungs- und Brutpflege-Verhalten
durchgeführt. Im Rahmen dieser praktischen Übungen können einfache
Optimierungs-Modelle aufgestellt und analysiert werden.
