Im ersten Teil des Seminars sollen theoretische Texte zum Essay, z.B. von Georg Lukàcs und Theodor W. Adorno sowie ausgewählte Essays gelesen und diskutiert werden. Im zweiten Teil sollen selbst geschriebene Essays zu einem zu vereinbarenden Thema vorgestellt und im Rollenspiel einer jurierten Publikation (das Seminar ist die Jury) diskutiert werden.
