361013 Interreligiöse Friedensarbeit am Beispiel Bosnien-Herzegowinas (S) (SoSe 2008)

Seit dem Ende des Kalten Krieges häufen sich in den Sozialwissenschaften Theorien über sog. "neue" ethnopolitische Konflikte. In diesen Konflikten besteht häufig eine Kongruenz von ethnischer und religiöser Identität der Konfliktparteien, die sich in religiös konnotierten Feindbildern und Bedrohungsszenarien niederschlägt. Vor diesem Hintergrund stellt sich die Frage nach der ambivalente Rolle von Religionen als Friedensstifter oder Kriegstreiber.
Am Beispiel von Bosnien-Herzegowina soll hier der Beitrag von religiösen Akteuren insbesondere zur Deeskalation und Transformation von Konflikten analysiert werden. Im Seminar sollen dazu verschiedene aktuelle Konzepte und Strategien zivilgesellschaftlicher Ansätze der Konflikttransformation vorgestellt und einzelne (inter-)religiöse Friedensprojekte diskutiert werden.
