Die geplante Lehrveranstaltung verfolgt zwei Ziele. Zum einen soll sie durch intensive Diskussion kürzerer Texte und Textauszüge in das Werk Erving Goffmans einführen, der sich in erster Linie als Interaktionssoziologe verstand. Zum anderen soll sie an der Rezeption dieser Soziologie durch Niklas Luhmann zeigen, dass und wie man Interaktionen auch mit Blick auf organisationssoziologische oder gesellschaftstheoretische Fragen analysieren kann.
