Die Teilnehmerforschung stellt einen zentralen Zweig der Erwachsenenbildungsforschung dar: Wer nimmt eigentlich an welchen Formen der Erwachsenenbildung teil und warum? Teilnehmerzahlen, Teilnahmemotive und -verhalten, aber auch Nicht-Teilnahme sind typische Forschungsgegenstände in der Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung, die auch für Bildungsanbieter aufschlussreich sein können. Im Seminar werden sich die Studierenden klassische Fragestellungen und Studien der Teilnehmerforschung erarbeiten und verschiedene Zugänge (z.B. empirische Bildungsforschung, die Biografie-, Milieu- oder Motivationsforschung) kennen lernen. Die Veranstaltung setzt die Bereitschaft der Teilnehmenden voraus, sich in Gruppenarbeiten und Diskussionen, die während des Seminars stattfinden, aktiv einzubringen.
