In diesem Seminar geht es um Statistik, d.h. es geht darum Muster in Daten aufzudecken und diese Muster einem Publikum zu kommunizieren. Die Daten, mit denen gearbeitet wird, stammen aus der PISA Erhebung von 2008. Allerdings sollen nicht die Leistungen in den PISA Tests, sondern soziodemographische Merkmale der Schüler im Fokus der statistischen Analysen stehen. Im Rahmen des Seminars werden die Teilnehmer eine Einführung in das statistische Analysepaket SPSS erhalten, damit sie die Analysen notwendigen Berechnungen eigenständig durchführen können.
Es werden sowohl die mathematisch-theoretischen Grundlagen als auch die konkreten Berechnungen mit Hilfe des Programmpaketes SPSS vorgestellt. Und selbstverständlich wird auch auf die Interpretation der Ergebnisse und ihre Darstellung in Wort und Bild eingegangen.
