Many interesting and relevant problems in Economics and Management Science are characterized by the interplay of strategic interaction and intertemporal effects of decisions taken by the involved parties. Differential Games are a useful tool to rigorously model such problems and to analyse (different types of) equilibrium behaviour and the economic dynamics that emerges in equilibrium. This course provides an introduction to the main solution concepts for differential games as well as the methods typically employed to characterize the equilibria of such games. Furthermore, we discuss insights that can be obtained in the area of (dynamic) industrial organization with the help of differential game models. The course is aimed at advanced Master and Doctoral students.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be no course on Nov. 11, 2014

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
