261003 Philosophische Theorie der Strafe I: die klassischen Theorien (S) (WiSe 2014/2015)

Für die große Mehrheit der Menschen gilt das öffentliche Strafrecht als gerechtfertigt. Wie die Strafe sich aber rechtfertigen lässt, bleibt nach wie vor ein kontroverses Thema. Was ist das Ziel der Strafe und wie lässt sie sich begründen? Das sind Leitfragen, die uns in dieser Veranstaltung den Weg weisen.
Die Veranstaltung dehnt sich auf zwei Semester. Im Wintersemester werden wir uns auf die klassischen Theorien konzentrieren (Kant, Fichte, Hegel, Bentham, Feuerbach). Im Sommersemester werden wir uns den Theorien des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts widmen. Beide Veranstaltungen können unabhängig voneinander besucht werden.
