Vor dem Hintergrund der sich verändernden Bedingungen des Aufwachsens von Kindern und Jugendlichen, die bereits 2006 vom Bundesministerium für Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend als „reduzierte Selbstverständlichkeit“ (vgl. ebd.) postuliert wurde, kann eine Verschiebung des Verhältnisses von Schule und Familie konstatiert werden, die besonders in „pandemischen Zeiten“ gesamtgesellschaftliche Aufmerksamkeit erhielt. Im Kontext der Verschiebung kommt den (informellen) Bereichen, die vor, in, an, neben und nach Schule zu verorten sind eine andere Bedeutung zu. Im Seminar wird es darum gehen das Verhältnis von Schule und Familie historisch aufzuarbeiten und vor dem Hintergrund formeller, non-formeller und informeller Lernräume zu diskutieren. Zu klären ist, was überhaupt ein "Lernraum" ist und welchen Stellenwert die Gestaltung von Lernräumen im professionellen pädagogischen Handelns einnimmt. Darüber hinaus sollen aktuelle Entwicklungen und Lesarten in Bezug auf „moderne“ Formen und Räume von und für Lernen diskutiert und aus Perspektive der Nutzer:innen kritisch aufgearbeitet werden.

Die Bescheinigung einer Studienleistung zu Übungszwecken erfolgt durch verantwortliche Übernahme von Aufgaben im Seminarkontext. Das kann die thematische Gestaltung einzelner Seminarsitzungen sein (p.P. max. 20 Minuten) oder das Anfertigen eines (Forschungs-)Portfolios, dass auch zur Vorbereitung weiterer ggf. prüfungsrelevanter Leistungen (bspw. Bachelorarbeit) genutzt werden kann oder die Entwicklung und Vorstellung eines eigenen (Lernraum-)Projektes im Seminar.
