Im Seminar werden einführend zentrale Begriffe wie global, international und transnational unter Bezugnahme auf ihren wissenschafts- und gesellschaftstheoretischen Diskurskontext erörtert und systematisiert. Daran anschließend liegt der inhaltliche Schwerpunkt auf der kritisch-reflexiven Betrachtung der Internationalisierung des tertiären Bildungsbereichs, wobei bildungs- und hochschulpolitische Voraussetzungen diskutiert werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund gehen wir der Bedeutung von Differenz- und Ungleichheitsverhältnissen im Hochschulraum nach und die Auseinandersetzung mit (Hochschul-)Bildung ist in diesem Zusammenhang von besonderem Interesse.
Zu Beginn werden wir uns im Seminar gemeinsam über die Arbeitsformen verständigen. Angeboten werden Möglichkeiten der Auseinandersetzung mit Texten in Englisch und Deutsch als Wissenschaftssprache.
