Die Digitalisierung als unumkehrbares Phänomen der Moderne hat eine transformierende Wirkung auf alle Lebensbereiche, sodass neue gesellschaftliche, berufliche und persönliche Bedarfe entstehen. Diese Bedarfe korrespondieren mit der Fähigkeit des Lebenslangen Lernens und heben zugleich die Bedeutsamkeit des Lernens als biographisches Lernen (vgl. Alheit und von Felden, 2009) hervor.
Wird das sozial-historisch gereifte Konzept des Lebenslangen Lernens ernst genommen, eröffnet sich folglich der Blick auf die Vielfalt an Lernorten, -arten und -anlässen, die insbesondere im Zuge der Digitalisierung immer umfassender und zugleich diffuser werden. In dem Seminar soll das Lebenslange Lernen im Zusammenhang mit den Entwicklungen digitaler Möglichkeiten und Technologien erörtert, aktuelle Trends beleuchtet sowie an Anforderungen pädagogischen Handelns geknüpft und reflektiert werden.
