230164 Faktizitäten - Die Rolle der Medien im 'postfaktischen' Zeitalter (S) (WiSe 2022/2023)

Der Begriff 'Faktizitäten' rekurriert auf eine sehr aktuelle gesellschaftliche Debatte die von zahlreichen Institutionen, Personen und politischen Gruppierungen geführt und von Schlagworten wie 'Lügenpresse', 'Fake-News' und 'alternative Fakten' sowie von Verschwörungstheorien begleitet wird.
In diesem Seminar ist es geplant, dass wir uns die verschiedenen Begrifflichkeiten und das Feld zunächst theoretisch erarbeiten, um uns dann konkreten Fällen zuzuwenden, in denen gezielt falsche Informationen an die Öffentlichkeit gegeben wurden, um bestimmte Debatten zu beeinflussen. Dabei wird konkret die Rolle der Medien und insbesondere der sozialen Medien analysiert werden. Daneben werden auch Maßnahmen diskutiert, die Medien ergreifen, um dem neuen Misstrauen zu begegnen.
