Im Seminar gehen wir einem Verständnis von Soziologie als Versuch nach, nicht nur soziale Ungleichheiten zu verstehen, sondern auch in soziale Kämpfe einzugreifen. Wir diskutieren soziologische Strömungen aus der marxistischen, anti-rassistischen, dekolonialen, feministischen, queeren Theoriebildung, die nach einem intersektionalen, d.h. auch inklusiveren wie umfassenderen Verständnis von Ungleichheiten streben und darüber nachdenken, was die Sozialwissenschaften dazu beitragen können, die Welt gerechter zu machen. Zwei Fragen werden uns durch das Seminar begleiten: Wie können sozialwissenschaftliche Fragestellungen aus dem Aktivismus gewonnen und ihre Ergebnisse in Aktivismus wieder eingespeist werden?
