Die Vorlesung setzt die im Sommersemester 2012 begonnene, auf zwei Semester angelegte Übersicht über die Lyrik der Frühen Neuzeit fort. Habe ich mich im vergangenen Sommersemester auf den Zeitraum 1500 bis ca. 1650 und dabei vor allem auf Prinzipielles und Strukturelles konzentriert, werden im Wintersemester nun einzelne Gedichte aus der Zeit von ca. 1650 bis ca. 1780 im Zentrum stehen. Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich; die Texte werden in die Vorlesung mitgebracht bzw. über die Dokumentenablage zur Verfügung gestellt.

Zu der Vorlesung gehört eine zweitägige Exkursion an die Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel, eine der berühmtesten und größten Frühneuzeit-Bibliotheken der Welt. Diese Exkursion, die von unserer Fakultät bezuschusst wird, findet am 25.-26. Januar 2013 statt. Die verbindliche Anmeldung wird mit einer Anzahlung im Oktober 2012 erforderlich sein. Über die Höhe der individuellen Kostenbeteiligung werden die Teilnehmer rechtzeitig durch eine Rundmail informiert.
Einige Vorlesungen werden in diese Exkursion gelegt.
