Die Vereinbarkeit von Berufs- und Privatleben und die hieraus entstehenden Konflikte gewinnen in der Arbeitswelt zunehmend an Relevanz. Unternehmen haben ein steigendes Interesse daran hoch qualifizierten Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern neben monetären Anreizen auch interessante Möglichkeiten zur flexiblen Lebensgestaltung zu bieten. In diesem Seminar werden daher verschiedene Zugänge zum Thema Work-Life Balance (WLB) erarbeitet. Das Seminar ist in mehrere Abschnitte gegliedert: Zuerst werden die wissenschaftlichen Ansätze (Abgrenzung der Konstrukte WLB und Work-Family Conflict, Spill-Over- und Buffering-Effekte etc.) diskutiert. Im zweiten Themenblock wird der Fokus auf die Vereinbarkeit von Berufs- und Privatleben bei Führungskräften bzw. High-Potentials gelegt (z.B. WLB jenseits der 50 Stunden-Woche, WLB und Karriereentwicklung). In einem weiteren Themengebiet werden unterschiedliche Aspekte der WLB aus der Geschlechterperspektive (z.B. Gender-Wage Gap, Lebensentwürfe von Männern und Frauen) diskutiert. Der vierte Abschnitt thematisiert die Auswirkungen und Probleme verschiedener Arbeitszeitmodelle (Teilzeitarbeit, Teleheimarbeit, Arbeitslosigkeit) auf die Vereinbarkeit von Berufs- und Privatleben. Zuletzt werden Möglichkeiten und Widerstände bei der Förderung von WLB in Unternehmen erörtert.

Die Teilnehmerzahl ist auf 30 begrenzt.
Um sich verbindlich anzumelden tragen Sie sich bitte vom 01. – 23. März 2012 selbst in die Veranstaltung im Stud.IP als Teilnehmer ein.

Bei erfolgreichem Besuch der Veranstaltung erhalten Studierende 4 bzw. 5 LP (neues Studienmodell). Verbidlich sind die Ankündigungen der Seminarleitung in der ersten Sitzung. Folgende Aktivtäten sind Bestandteile des Seminars: Vorbereitung der Sitzungen anhand von Literatur oder Aufgaben, thematische Recherche, Vorbereitung und Gestaltung einer Seminarsitzung (im Team), Teilnahme an Übungen und Diskussionen.
In Absprache mit der Seminarleitung kann auch eine benotete Einzelleistung erbracht werden.
