230254 Herbst des Mittelalters – Morgenröte der Neuzeit? Epochenkonstruktion und historischer Wandel (Forschungskolloqium) (Ko+S) (WiSe 2021/2022)

Im Seminar, das zugleich als Kolloquium auch der Vorstellung von Abschlussarbeiten dient, versuchen wir, die Epochensignatur des 14. und vor allem des 15. Jahrhunderts – letzteres ein notorisch unterschätztes Säkulum der Reform und der Latenz – zu erarbeiten. Der Versuchung einer Einordnung in axiologisch getönte Verlaufsschemata ist dabei zu widerstehen. Ganz im Gegenteil kommt es darauf an, die zum Teil kleinteiligen Umbesetzungen, Modifikationen, Verschiebungen zu beschreiben, die neue Anschluss- und Kombinationsmöglichkeiten schufen. Im Horizont unserer Beschäftigung können Ansätze zu einer kontingenzsensiblen Theorie historischen Wandels aufscheinen.
