Dieses Seminar stellt eine Einführung in die Bedeutung und Forschung des deutschen Sozialstaats dar.
Im ersten Teil der Veranstaltung, beschäftigen wir uns mit der Definition von Sozialpolitik, den Besonderheiten des deutschen Sozialstaats, seiner geschichtlichen Entwicklung und den unterschiedlichen Modellen im ehemalig geteilten Deutschland. Wir gehen auch exemplarisch auf sozialpolitische Felder ein, z.B. das Rentensystem und das Gesundheitssystem. Zum Abschluss schauen wir uns an, welche sozialpolitischen Maßnahmen im Zuge der Corona-Krise ergriffen wurden.
