Die Psychoanalyse steht heute nicht mehr im Zentrum der aktuellen Theoriebildung und Methodologie in der Literaturwissenschaft – und doch ist ihr Einfluss auf die Geschichte des Fachs und seine Methodologie im 20. Jahrhundert kaum zu überschätzen. Das Seminar bietet eine Einführung in Grundlagentexte der Psychoanalyse. Ausgehend von einer eingehenden Lektüre der Schriften Sigmund Freuds nehmen wir die Rezeption psychoanalytischer Begriffe und Konzepte in Literatur, Film, Literatur- und Kulturtheorie in den Blick. Dabei werden wir auch nach dem möglichen Aktualisierungspotenzial psychoanalytischer Lektüren fragen: Welche Anknüpfungspunkte bietet die Psychoanalyse für Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaftler*innen heute?
Die Veranstaltung findet weitgehend asynchron statt. Die Teilnehmer*innen führen schriftliche Arbeitsaufträge aus und erhalten dazu Feedback von der Seminarleiterin. Ergänzend werden sechs optionale synchrone Zoom-Sitzungen angeboten, in denen die Ergebnisse der schriftlichen Aufgaben im Rahmen von Diskussionssitzungen reflektiert werden.
