250301 Von der (frühen) Kindheit bis ins Erwachsenenalter: Über institutionalisierte Bildung und ihre gesellschaftlichen Bedingungen (BS) (WiSe 2019/2020)

Wird gegenwärtig vor allem in bildungspolitischen Zusammenhängen die gesamtgesellschaftliche Relevanz von Bildung betont, rücken dabei nicht zuletzt auch einzelne Lebensphasen in den Fokus der Auseinandersetzungen. Auf diese bezogen werden bestimmte Vorstellungen von Bildung deutlich und gleichzeitig werden gesellschaftliche Ansprüche an Bildung formuliert. Diesen gehen wir im Seminar vor dem Hintergrund bildungstheoretischer Perspektiven genauer nach. Einführend wird hierfür zunächst auf historisch-systematischer Ebene Bildung in ihrem geschichtlichen Wandel betrachtet und auf dieser Grundlage danach gefragt, welche gesellschaftliche Funktion Bildung heute hat. Hiervon ausgehend nehmen wir institutionalisierte Bildung in verschiedenen Lebensphasen näher in den Blick und beschäftigen uns exemplarisch mit Früher Bildung, schulischer Bildung und Erwachsenenbildung. Ziel des Seminars ist es, die gesellschaftlichen Bedingungen und Bedeutungen von Bildung im Kontext verschiedener Lebensphasen differenziert betrachten sowie bildungspolitische Debatten um Bildung einordnen und kritisch reflektieren zu können.
