Im Seminar befassen wir uns kritisch mit verschiedenen Strömungen der Erziehungswissenschaft
und Pädagogik insbesondere ab dem 20. Jahrhundert im Hinblick auf (pädagogische) Autorität,
um ein Bewusstsein der Historizität und gesellschaftlichen Verortung ihrer Positionen entwickeln
zu können. Dabei wird es im Seminar weniger darum gehen, simplifizierend normative
Handlungsanweisungen „richtiger“ Pädagogik für die Praxis zu gewinnen. Stattdessen werden wir
unter Berücksichtigung der Differenz zwischen Theorie und Praxis historisch spezifische
Konfliktlinien verschiedener pädagogischer Strömungen als Symptom gesellschaftlicher
Widersprüche und Ausdruck der Spannungsverhältnisse der Pädagogik diskutieren. Angestrebt
wird ein prekärer Balanceakt: Normativität kritisch zu reflektieren ohne in pädagogische
Beliebigkeit zu verfallen.
