250098 Differenz und Ungleichheit in alteritätstheoretischer Perspektive (S) (SoSe 2019)

Historisch lässt sich nachzeichnen, dass Konstruktionen von Differenz und Ungleichheit im europäischen Diskurs grundlegend auf identitätstheoretischen Logiken basieren und das diese Konstruktionen für das eigene Selbstverständnis von zentraler Relevanz sind. Es wird zwischen Eigenem/Fremden, zwischen Wir/Andere unterschieden und in Abgrenzung zum Anderen das Eigene erfasst. Im Seminar soll diese erkenntnistheoretische Funktion, die dem Anderen zukommt, und die damit verbundene Logik, über die Differenzen und Ungleichheiten hergestellt werden, auf Basis postkolonialer und sozialphilosophischer Ansätze näher beleuchtet werden, die Aktualität binär-oppositionellen Denkens untersucht und zu einer Dekonstruktion solcher Alteritätskonstruktionen angesetzt werden.
