Möchten Sie Teil einer Studierendengruppe sein, die Bücher übersetzt, lektoriert und sogar selbst druckt? In diesem Kurs übersetzen wir den neuesten, englischsprachigen Gedichtband der nordamerikanischen Autorin Jennifer Kwon Dobbs ins Deutsche. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten, um sich in dieser vielfältigen und vielsprachigen Arbeit individuell einzubringen. Ob Sie lieber mit der Autorin kommunizieren, literarischen Zusammenhängen nachgehen, aktiv bei der Übersetzung helfen, die literarische Übersetzung erarbeiten oder sie lektorieren wollen, ist Ihnen überlassen.

In this course we translate from English the latest book of poetry by the North American author Jennifer Kwon Dobbs into German. There are many ways to get involved individually in this diverse and multilingual work. Whether you prefer to communicate with the author, to pursue literary relationships, to actively assist in the translation, to develop the literary translation or to proofread it -- is up to you.

Students will be asked to read multilingual poems and discuss their topic, translate the texts into German, contribute to their publication, and prepare short creative texts by themselves.
