Diese Veranstaltung („Historische Kontextualisierung“) bildet mit dem Seminar 220067 „ Die Macht der Worte: Sprache und Politik in der Moderne (1850-1950)“ ein Modul und dient vor allem dazu, neuere und ausgewählte ältere Ansätze zur Untersuchung politischer Kommunikation in der Moderne zu diskutieren. Ein separater Besuch nur der „Historischen Kontextualisierung“ ist zwar möglich, aber nur bedingt sinnvoll, weil beide Veranstaltungen eng miteinander verzahnt sein werden. Wie im Seminar wird auch hier regelmäßige Teilnahme und die Bereitschaft, sich mit fremdsprachigen Texten auseinanderzusetzen, erwartet.
