Issues of gender, sexuality, race and ethnicity, motherhood, labor, and union struggle, will be kept in focus throughout. The film selection will allow the students to learn about different film genre and to examine questions relating to authorship, spectatorship, identity and women's place within the filmmaking history in North America.
