Diese Lehrveranstaltung ist mit der Vorlesung des Grundkurses Linguistik verbunden. Die in der Vorlesung eingeführten Konzepte und Analysemethoden/-techniken werden im Rahmen dieser Lehrveranstaltung anhand von zahlreichen Beispielen erläutert und eingeübt. Im zweiten Teil dieser Lehrveranstaltung (Ringvorlesung) werden die einzelnen Arbeits- und Forschungsbereiche der Linguistik vorgestellt, u.a. die Psycho- und Neurolinguistik, die experimentelle Phonetik, die angewandte und theoretische Computerlinguistik und die Sprachtypologie.
