Mehr oder minder regelmäßig greifen wir auf Stereotype, Vorurteile oder Biases zurück wenn wir andere Menschen einordnen oder bewerten. Dies kann dazu beitragen, sie unfair zu behandeln und auch bestehende soziale Ungerechtigkeit zu verstärken.
In diesem Seminar geht es darum, was Stereotype, Vorurteile und Biases jeweils sind. Dazu betrachten wir philosophische Arbeiten, de sich mit Ergebnissen der Sozialpsychologie auseinander setzen. Außerdem geht es im Seminar um erkenntnistheoretische und ethische Fragen zu Stereotypen und Vorurteilen sowie zu unserem Umgang mit Ihnen.Näheres zum Inhalt und Ablauf des Seminars finden Sie an dieser Stelle kurz vor Beginn der Vorlesungszeit.

Abschluss des ersten Studienjahres (beide Grundkurse, Philosophischer Einstieg und Philosophisches Schreiben), sofern Sie den Kurs nicht als Handwerksseminar besuchen.

Da die meiste Literatur zu diesem Thema nur auf Englisch vorliegt, wird die Bereitschaft, englische Texte zu lesen, vorausgesetzt.
