Das Seminar führt in ausgewählte Verfahren der qualitativen Sozialforschung und deren Anwendung in der Medienforschung ein (Produktions-, Produkt- und Rezeptionsforschung). Hierzu werden in einem ersten Teil des Seminares entsprechende Verfahren vorgestellt und diskutiert sowie exemplarische Fallstudien besprochen. Darauf aufbauend werden die Studierenden im zweiten Teil des Seminares in Kleingruppen eigene kleine Forschungsprojekte durchführen, um so Gelegenheit zur Erprobung einer selbst gewählten Methode zu erhalten.
