In der Veranstaltung wird eine historische Perspektive auf Diskurse und Praktiken geworfen, die zur Erzeugung eines auffälligen Kindes beitrugen. Zunächst geht es um die Herausbildung einer bestimmten Praxis der Schüler*innenbeobachtung mit der ein genauer beschreibender Blick auf den Einzelnen verbunden war. In der Folge waren bestimmte Verhaltensweisen als "abweichend" oder "auffällig" wahrnehmbar.
Im Anschluss daran werden in der Veranstaltung anhand von historischem Quellenmaterial Bilder von auffälligen Kindern herausgearbeitet, die dann im Laufe der Zeit bestimmten "Störungsbildern" (wie ADHS, Autismus oder Störungen der Emotionen, des Sozialverhaltens) zugeordnet wurden. Im letzten Teil der Veranstaltung wird ein Blick auf die Gegenwart geworfen und diskutiert, inwieweit ein Perspektivwechsel in der heutigen inklusiven Schule auf das Konzept von Störung und auffälligem Verhalten erforderlich ist.
Das Seminar findet als Blockseminar statt, bei dem sich unterschiedlich gestaltete Inputphasen und Gruppenarbeitsphasen abwechseln und mehrere themenbezogene (teils digitale Räume) eröffnet werden.
