Das Seminar gibt einen Einblick in die philosophische Pädagogik nach Dewey. Neben einer Einordnung seiner Arbeiten in den "amerikanischer Pragmatismus" verstanden als Rahmung seiner erziehungswissenschaftlichen Arbeiten, erfolgt eine Auseinandersetzung mit seinen Schriften zu Erziehung, Demokratie und Bildung.
Einen besonderen Fokus richten wir im Seminar auf den Begriff der Erfahrung, welcher in Deweys Ausührungen eine zentrale Rolle spielt.
Voraussetzung zur Teilnahme am Seminar ist die Bereitschaft zur Lektüre.
